The myths are studied using the Lèvi-Strauss structuralism approach. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. The analysis method used is structuralism. The study results indicate several Javanese mythologies raised in the novel, namely mend ari-ari, fortune-telling by a clever person and meditation on Mount Kawi. These myths have different meanings and functions in the story. This study also shows that Javanese mythology in the novel "Gadis Kretek" not only complements the story but also has a deep meaning about Javanese cultural values. These myths provide an overview of how Javanese people view the world and interpret various life events. This study also discusses the relationship between episodes and characters in the novel "Gadis Kretek". The study used a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results show that before the construction of ITERA, the people of Way Huwi Village still upheld cooperation and solidarity. Economically, the village community began to take advantage of the campus by diversifying jobs, thus creating new business opportunities, especially in the trade sector, which increased the local community's income. Likewise, the community's mindset changed, mainly focusing on income, education, and morals. However, negative impacts emerged, such as increased crime, juvenile delinquency, and violations of the social value system and norms.
Nadila Putri Efendi, Yoyok Hendarso, Yulasteriyani, Decka Pratama Putra Copyright (c) 2024 Nadila Putri Efendi, Yoyok Hendarso, Yulasteriyani, Decka Pratama Putra http://journalempirika.fisip.unsri.ac.id/index.php/empirika/article/view/139 Fri, 29 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Identification of Potential and Challenges of MSMEs in Bintan Regency: A Case Study of Pengudang Village, Bintan Regency, Kepulauan Riau http://journalempirika.fisip.unsri.ac.id/index.php/empirika/article/view/176
This study aims to identify the conditions of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pengudang Village using a SWOT analysis approach. MSMEs play a vital role in supporting the local economy and creating employment opportunities for the village community; however, their sustainability is often challenged by various internal and external factors. Employing a qualitative method and in-depth interview techniques, data were collected from MSME owners and relevant stakeholders. SWOT analysis was used to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats affecting the development of MSMEs in this area. The findings reveal that MSMEs in Pengudang Village benefit from strengths such as access to local resources, including raw materials and labor, as well as support from the local community. However, weaknesses in access to capital, technology, and managerial skills remain significant obstacles. Opportunities arise from the growth of local tourism and demand for local products, yet threats emerge from intense competition with products from outside the region and limited infrastructure. Based on these findings, the study recommends efforts to enhance capacity and provide sustained support from the government and related institutions to strengthen the competitiveness of MSMEs in Pengudang Village.

Febri Ardiana Zingga , Dea Dwi Agustin , R.Nuzul Fazly, Nikodemus Niko Copyright (c) 2024 Febri Ardiana Zingga , Dea Dwi Agustin , R.Nuzul Fazly, Nikodemus Niko http://journalempirika.fisip.unsri.ac.id/index.php/empirika/article/view/176 Fri, 29 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Perubahan Sosial Ekonomi Petambak Udang Mandiri di Desa Bumi Dipasena Mulya Kecamatan Rawajitu Timur Lampung http://journalempirika.fisip.unsri.ac.id/index.php/empirika/article/view/175
This research aims to understand the nature and impact of socio-economic changes on independent shrimp farmers in Bumi Dipasena Mulya Village, Rawajitu Timur District, Lampung.
