Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji representasi minoritas Tionghoa dalam film Ngenest. Tujuan penelitian ini berusaha untuk membahas gambaran konstruksi, sistem representasi, dan proses representasi makna minoritas Tionghoa dalam film Ngenest. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif interpretif. Paradigma yang digunakan adalah konstruktivis. Observasi atau observasi merupakan metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat analisis teori dari Stuart Hall dan teori pendukung tentang minoritas Tionghoa dari Schermerhorn dan Wagley & Maris. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa representasi Tionghoa yang dominan dalam film Ngenest diperoleh melalui representasi representasi.
